The body, paint and interior are in excellent condition. There are a number of parts on the car that will be either replaced or restored (after 40+ years some things get changed). Currently there is a non-original-motor (NOM) in the car but a correct block has been located. The car will be restored as a stock 327/360hp 4speed. Every nut and bolt will be gone over and no expense is being spared in locating correct parts or in the restoration. All chrome will be freshened up (windshield molding, vent windows, rocker panels, bumpers, etc.), brakes, suspension, and fuel system freshened up, and other work done while apart. The chassis will be sandblasted, inspected, and painted the correct finish.

During:
In preparation to remove the body the the exhaust, spare tire carrier, bumpers, brackets, rear filler panel, grill, rocker panels, shifter, steering column, engine wiring, seat belt mounts, body mount bolts, and other goodies are removed.
With the wave of a magic wand body is lifted off the frame. We were happy to find the original frame under the car (matching VIN Numbers). Working like this certainly makes doing the suspension work much easier.
Each component will be removed, sandblasted, touched-up, and painted. New bushings, bearings, brakes, fuel system, shocks, universal joints, and incorrect hardware will all be replaced.
Front suspension dissassembled. Fuel System dissassembled, Rear Carrier, Spring and Trailing Arms dissassembled. Each will be rebuilt and refinished. The gas tank and fuel lines will be replaced.
Parts ready for sandblasting and refinishing
This is what makes this beautiful red convertible something special.
Gauge Cluster, Clock, Radio, Glove Box, Vent Windows, Windshield Molding, Door Handles, etc. Will all be given the once-over and freshened up.
Under the Vette is years of dirt, paint, and undercoating. We take it back a few layers and with many hours of cleaners and elbow grease we get it to a point where majority of the original fiberglass is visible. The engine compartment was also thoroughly cleaned. Detail work will include cleaning and painting the birdcage, all underbody support brackets and rivets, and engine compartment blackout.
The Frame and components have all been sandblasted, cleaned, prepped and primed.
Although difficult to see after 40+ years the Vin is just visible on the kick-up framerail.
Correct Rear Carrier (CB - 3.36 Ratio) dated 11/14/62 - K62
