Vinnie's  2000 Corvette - 427 Darton Stroker

April 2005 - This beautiful 00' Corvette Coupe has gone through various phases. Always looking to be out on the edge, the last phase was to install a 427 Darton Stroker Block, LQ9 modified truck heads, LSX Intake with 90mm Throttle Body, Custom Grind Comp Cam,  and other related performance goodies. The current phase is to replace the heads and cam and install a Supercharger from East Coast Supercharging. Corvette Tech, Inc is a reseller and installer for various vendors including ECS and others. 

Some shots taken during the first phase teardown and getting the parts prepared for the installation. The original engine was removed to make way for the new one. The entire engine compartment will be cleaned-up and detailed. Besides running great, we want it to look great!

The engine machine work was completed and short block assembled. The heads were also worked over including new seats, springs, surfacing, and port matched to the LSX Intake. The custom grind Cam was degreed and a double roller timing chain, underdrive pulleys, and ported oil pump were also installed.

9/1/06 / Phase II - We changed heads and cam to parts more suitable with a blower setup. An East Coast Supercharging blower kit and fuel system was installed along with their 8-rib pulley system. We will be running around 12lbs of boost with the blower and the new heads will bring compression down to a little over 9:1. 

We are hoping for over 700hp at the rear wheels and at least low-10's at the track. Not bad for a daily driver.
